About the Ebinger Brothers
Preston
is the manufacturing name of
Ebinger Brothers Leather Company. Ebinger
Brothers was established in 1947 as a wholesale distributor and
jobber of leather byAlbert and his brother Henry Ebinger. The
brothers expanded the business in the late 1960's by converting
a portion of the company’s inventory into manufactured
leather products. Leather
manufactuered products private labeled by Ebinger
Brothers included double ring moccasin-style boots for summer,
fishing reel cases and fly books in the springtime and ski and
hunting leather face masks in the winter.
The Preston Story
In the early 1980’s, Ebinger Brothers purchased a small
Pennsylvania manufacturing company named Preston Leather Products.
Preston was a manufacturer of English equestrian strap goods.
Under the name Preston, Ebinger Brothers continued to manufacture
high quality premium and promotional leather products.
Starting in the mid-1990's , the market for American-made premium
and promotional leather products declined due to lower-cost overseas
competition. Preston has since found new markets by focusing
on the design of ribbons and by manufacturing ribbon-decorated
products for people and their pets. Through our creative designs,
attention to detail and high level of customer service, we have
become recognized as one of the premier small, ribbon
related suppliers in our industry.
